With the help of a stand, the iPhone can be put on top of the Mac, and it is made to connect automatically. There's a feature called "Desk View" that uses the Ultra Wide lens to show off your desk. Handoff now includes FaceTime, so you can take calls on the Mac and easily move them to the iPhone or the other way around. Messages is getting undo and edit buttons so you can fix mistakes or take back an iMessage you just sent. You can also mark messages as unread. Messages that were deleted by accident can be recovered, and there are new ways to work together.
When you use the share sheet or drag-and-drop to send a file to Messages, you can choose to let the other person work on the file or document with you. Changes to a shared document are shown at the top of the Messages thread, which makes it easy to chat and work at the same time.
In macOS Ventura, SharePlay works in both FaceTime and Messages. This means you can watch TV shows and use apps with other people while chatting with them in Messages.
In macOS Ventura, the Mail app has been changed a lot, and the search feature is better and more accurate than ever. When you click on "Search" and start typing, you'll see relevant emails, contacts, documents, photos, and more. Emails can be sent at a certain time, and if you make a mistake, you can take them back up to 10 seconds after they've been sent.
Users of Mail can set reminders to return to a message at a certain date and time, and there is an option to get automatic suggestions to follow up on an email if there has been no response. Mail can also now tell from the context of a message if something is missing, like an attachment or a person who was copied on the message.
In macOS Ventura, Apple is adding new apps to the Mac, like a Weather app and a Clock app that are similar to their iOS counterparts. System Preferences is now called System Settings, and it looks more like the Settings app on iPhone and iPad.

With the new iCloud Shared Photo Library, up to six family members can share a separate photo library from their own, making it easier for everyone to enjoy family photos. Photos suggests sharing relevant photos that family members have been in, and every user of the Shared Photo Library can add, edit, delete, or mark as a favorite any shared photo or video.
Metal 3, which is part of macOS Ventura, will improve the quality of games on Apple silicon Macs. It has MetalFX Upscaling, which speeds up performance and improves graphics to make games feel more responsive. There is also a Fast Resource Loading API that makes it easier for games to use high-quality textures and geometry for a more immersive gaming experience.
To make Macs safer, there's a new feature called Rapid Security Response that lets security updates be installed without a system update or even a restart.
